Hi! My name’s Houston. I'm a four-year-old boxer mix boy and kind of a beefcake at around 80 pounds. (I'd argue that it's all muscle, too.)

One of the things I want most in a forever home is a human friend to hang out with, not doing anything in particular, just a couple pals spending time together. Wouldn't that be amazing? I'm a little shy at first, but if you'll give me a few minutes to get to know you, we'll be besties. And I promise to be your snuggle pup!

Really, though, I’m way too smart to laze around 24/7. I know sit, down, stay, high five, orbit, between, and wait. Learning tricks is one of my favorite activities and I can pick up new ones in just a day or two. I love to run outside and play in water from the hose. In case I wasn't clear enough on that, I LOVE PLAYING IN THE WATER!!!

I’m kennel trained, house trained, and am good being left alone. In fact, I do some of my best snoozing in my crate while I wait patiently for you to come home. I’m getting better on the leash all the time. I’d do best in a home with older children, because I’m still learning how to contain all my excitement around the little ones. Since I've been looking for a home for a while, I think I'd prefer to be the only doggo so I don't have to share.

I’ve got so much love to share and I absolutely cannot wait to meet you! You'll get to see my cute little nub of a tail wag and wag when I'm happy and that will make YOU happy, too!
