Foster Care

manetFoster care homes desperately needed!
The foster home program is a critical component of The Pet Connection and has the capabilities of saving hundreds of animals from death in area shelters. The foster care network in Kansas City serves as a direct arm of the shelter extending our reach, letting us take in more animals. More foster care homes are needed desperately for emergency situations when animals are scheduled to be put to death, waiting for transport, or waiting for space in a safe sanctuary like ours. We get hundreds of requests per day to rescue animals.

Time commitment:
One night, one weekend, one month, or one year. Whenever you can do it. Foster Homes are needed for weekend stays. Foster Homes are also needed for elderly/special needs animals until permanent placement can be found.

Becoming a foster parent can help to make a difference with the overpopulation problem our community faces today. Help us save more animals in 2008. Open your heart and home to an unwanted, abandoned animal.

By developing Kansas City’s base of foster homes, and spaying/neutering, we CAN achieve our goal of no more homeless pets in Kansas City!
