S.T.A.R Program Fund Raising for Chez-It
Chez-It was born on 6/20/08, rescued, and brought to TPC to find a new home. He is good with other cats and loves new people. Sometimes he will knead their shirt when they hold them. Little Chez-It also LOVES to knead blankets. He has been around small dogs and is not afraid by them as long as they don't chase him. Since being in our care, we have learned that Chez-It has a nutritional problem and is having trouble getting his food to be beneficial for him. He is a great cat who likes to sit on your shoulders, but even though he eats and doesn't have parasites, he continues to be skinny, malnutritioned, and has chronic diarrhea. Chez-It had to be taken to a specialist and will need $600 in medical sponsorships. Donate now by clicking below.

S.T.A.R Program Fund Raising for Noah
Noah was born 2-5-07 and came to TPC from a local Humane Society. Noah has been diagnosed with a chronic skin condition. TPC has been taking Noah to a specialist, but have had little success in treating his condition. In addition, Noah has tested positive for heartworms and is being treated. We hope that soon Noah will be a healthy and happy dog that will be ready to go to his new home. In the meantime, TPC needs to raise $150 for his heartworm treatment and $1350 for his skin condition… totaling $1500. If you would like to donate towards Noah’s medical, please click on the PayPal button below.

S.T.A.R Program Fund Raising for Kitty
Kitty came to us from a local Humane Society. She gets a long well with other dogs, though she is vey shy of people and will hide for hours if she sees a stranger. We are working with her on this, and even though it is a slow process she is becoming friendlier with people. Kitty is a very sweet & gentle dog who just needs an owner who will work with her and give her all the tending loving care she needs to help her come out of her shell. Unfortunately, Kitty tested positive for heartworms. TPC is treating her heartworms so that she can be healthy when she goes to her new home. TPC needs to raise $150 for her heartworm treatment. S.T.A.R Program Fund Raising for Striker
Striker was found as a stray. He is white w/black spots and is approx 6 years old. He is lovable, friendly and playful. He gets along well with other dogs and cats. He also gets along with children. When Striker was brought to us we noticed that he was missing a lot of his fur. It was determined by our vet staff that Striker had mange. S.T.A.R Program Fund Raising for Baby Boy
Baby Boy was originally adopted from TPC in 2005 as a kitten and was returned to TPC by his owners who were moving and could no longer care for him. Baby Boy is friendly with other cats and people so he'll probably make a good lap cat. Baby boy has been diagnosed with gastrointestinal problems and as a result is on a special diet and herbs. In 1 year he will cost TPC $1200 for his vet care, food, and herbs. If you would like to donate towards Baby Boy’s medical, please click on the PayPal button below.

S.T.A.R Program Fund Raising for Peanut
Peanut came to TPC in February 2006 to find a new home. Peanut is approximately 9 years old. She needs to be in a home without other animals, and will require patience to bring her out of her shell. Peanut is slow to transition, but when she does she likes to play with a string that has a toy on it. Peanut loves to sit with you on the couch and lay in your arms. She would be better in a home with a single or older person. No small children. Peanut has a chronic urinary tract infection that requires a special diet and herbal supplements. Her care has already cost TPC over $5700. Ongoing care will continue until she is adopted or until she lives out her life at our facility. We are looking to raise at least $5700 to offset her current expenses. If you would like to donate towards Peanut’s medical, please click on the PayPal link below.

older cat, who had seen better days. Halfy had been in a fight
and tested positive for Felv & FIV. Halfy could not go back
into the wild and was adopted by the thrift boutique.
Halfy's Thrift Boutique is a nonprofit thrift boutique located at 5732 Johnson Drive in Mission, Kansas.
All
proceeds from Halfy's Thrift Boutique benefit the homeless cats and
dogs of The Pet Connection, Inc. Money raised is spent on our
adoption program, spay & neuter efforts, and emergency medical
needs.
Donations are tax-deductible and are accepted at Halfy's Thrift Boutique during open hours. Please stop by Halfy's Thrift Boutique during open hours or call the store at 913-236-9330 for more details.

It is with heavy hearts that we
report that our dear Halfy has passed away. Halfy lived a long life and
was able to live the end of his life in a warm and safe environment
with many human friends. Halfy's Thrift Boutique is still up and
operating... please stop by and check out Halfy's inspiration.
