Low Cost Clinic
The Pet Connection offers a low-cost spay/neuter, basic veterinary service and heartworm treatment center to the area. The spay/neuter and the basic veterinary services are available 3 days a week held on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Our services are available to low-income individuals and rescue groups or individuals. We also perform simple surgeries such as hernia repair and dewclaw removal.
Basic veterinary services available from 8 am to 12 pm, three days a week with no appointment necessary. Surgeries and heartworm treatments are scheduled in advance.
Basic veterinary services include:
- Fecals
- Deworm & Deflea
- Basic vaccines
- Blood work
- Heartworm and Ehrlichia testing -- Treatment for both rescue groups and qualifying low-income families. The cost will be between $80-$160, depending on the size of the dog, cost includes pain medication. Treatment is not available during walk-in clinics
- FeLV & FIV testing
- Feral Fix Clinic -- We began doing $5 feral cats, Wednesdays only. Call our spay/neuter coordinators at 913-671-PETS. Appointments are filling fast. If you would like to sponsor a $5 free roaming cat day, please contact Melody at The Pet Connection, Inc.
